David Hockney

This 6′ 9″ x 24′ 5″ oil painting created in 1998 is called A Bigger Grand Canyon. This painting is a culminating statement about depiction and experience of space. He used different views taken over a period of time. He refers to Cubism, which is when a subject is depicted from multiple viewpoints. He painted this to show that there are many viewpoints around the Grand Canyon. I enjoy this painting because I love the colors and how realistic is looks.
