This was my favorite piece at in the gallery. It is called "A Thousand Times I'm Sorry." I liked the meaning of the painting. In the artist description, they mentioned that words/phrases can overused and loose their meaning and "sharp edges." They wrote "I'm sorry" 1,000 times on watercolor paper. At first glance, I couldn't tell what the painting was but after looking at it, i could slowly start to see the words "I'm sorry." i thought this was a very interesting visual way to represent words loosing their meaning.
This was my least favorite piece in the gallery. It is called "Fish." The artist used the sounds of each letter in different words to spell the word "Fish." they created this piece to illustrate the difficulties if the English language. In the artist description they say the word uses the "gh" sound from enough, the "o" sound from women, and the "ti" sound from emotion. This piece didn't have much of an effect of me as much as other pieces did.
