Cindy Sherman uses different subjects to represent herself, this particular self portrait is from her clown exploration. I chose this picture because it displays a very different type of clown. Clowns are typically creepy, but this one is very excessively ugly, from the eyebrows, to the hair, to the teeth. The attention to detail stuck out to me because even though she does various different clowns, no two are alike. You can see the desire and tiredness in this ones eyes.
