Paolozzi : I was a Rich Man's Plaything'

This was one of Paolozzi's collages made up of magazines that were given to him by American servicemen in 1947. He truly believed that his work should represent contemporary culture.  The collage has a beautiful woman that looks like she's a Hollywood star wearing a lingerie with a Coca Cola logo and pop bottle on the lower right. Also, on the lower left is a WWII Lockheed Hudson Bomber.  Under the writing on the top is a hand holding a bottle like a handgun with the word POP!  This piece seems to be conjure the idea that this is what a soldier who was away from there home would use to fantasize about better times.  I loved what it implies without being graphic.
