Eduardo Paolozzi

This piece is called "sack o sauce". Eduardo Paolozzi made this piece in 1948. It consists of a whole bunch of clippings to make this colorful collage. I like his artwork, its very euphoric. The bright colors and cartoons make this collage very child-like. I like how it has Mickey Mouse in it to attract children. Along with Humpty Dumpty in the right top corner, and the child-like drawing on the bottom middle. This collage was definitely meant to attract children. I couldn't find much as to why Paolozzi made pop art. The main thing that I found is that the he also taught art to a college students. The cartoons mixed in with the real-life hand holding hotdogs is very odd but still works well together. I like how Paolozzi used an older looking Mickey Mouse, along with the primary colors. It makes the poster look like it's out-dated and would be used as an ad in the 70's.
