Paolozzi : I was a Rich Man's Plaything'
This was one of Paolozzi's collages made up of magazines that were given to him by American servicemen in 1947. He truly believed that his work should represent contemporary culture. The collage has a beautiful woman that looks like she's a Hollywood star wearing a lingerie with a Coca Cola logo and pop bottle on the lower right. Also, on the lower left is a WWII Lockheed Hudson Bomber. Under the writing on the top is a hand holding a bottle like a handgun with the word POP! This piece seems to be conjure the idea that this is what a soldier who was away from there home would use to fantasize about better times. I loved what it implies without being graphic.
Eduardo Paolozzi: Red Rose Speedway
Eduardo Paolozzi's artwork was featured in the 1972 album release of Red Rose Speedway by Paul McCartney. The album released a gold fold sleeve with a 12-page booklet inside. Working alongside other artists such as Alan Jones, Paolozzi's art captured the feel of McCartney's songs. McCartney has always collected modern art and is considered to have the largest private collection of Paolozzi's work. Paolozzi often drew inspiration from the relationship between humans and machinery taking the influences of progression in technology and mixing it with the "happier" lifestyles displayed in American magazines and media.

Eduardo Paolozzi: Wittgenstein in New York (1964)
Eduardo Paolozzi: Wittgenstein in New York (1964)
Eduardo Paolozzi's art is unique for many reasons. What stood out to me at first glance was his exceptional use of color. All of the colors in this piece, and many of his others, compliment one another so well. Paolozzi paints the tall, sky-scraping New York buildings across the background of this piece and uses his mastery of color to make the forefront images of the painting pop. His one of a kind style of art is consistent through most of his works and they stand out to me as one of the most eye catching selection of paintings that I have ever seen.
Eduardo Paolozzi
I find this specific piece by Eduardo Paolozzi very interesting and unique. He tends to make these collages very clear, however, this piece can play a bit of a mind trick. Everything on this collage takes part in each others image, shaping various pictures into one. The theme seems to be celebratory, or a reference from dancing in the rain.
Eduardo Paolozzi
Sir Eduardo Paolozzi made this piece called Meet the People in 1948. This piece of artwork was presented in 1971 though. This collage is made from magazines given to Paolozzi by American ex-serviceman. Eduardo title of his series refers to Henry Ford''s statement ''History is more or less bunk.... We want to live in the present''. Paolozzi''s belief is that his pieces of artwork should respond to contemporary culture. I overall love this piece because I love Minnie Mouse and Lucy from I love Lucy. I would watch this show with my parents all the time.
